This Gyokuro Powdered Tea is carefully milled from high-quality shaded Gyokuro leaves cultivated in Mie Prefecture. The fine powder preserves the full-bodied sweetness and umami characteristic of Gyokuro, while offering a smooth and creamy texture with a beautiful jade-green color.
Elegant Taste and Versatile Use
Unlike matcha, which is stone-ground from tencha leaves, Gyokuro powdered tea carries a unique depth and mildness from its stem and leaf veins. It can be enjoyed as a warm drink, added to lattes, or used in confectionery for a refined Japanese flavor.
Brewing & Preparation
Use about 1 teaspoon (2g) per cup. Pour hot water at around 70–80°C (158–176°F) and whisk gently until smooth. Adjust thickness to preference. Its natural sweetness pairs beautifully with light desserts or traditional wagashi.
